Restaurants:

CanoeHouse and HaLani Restaurants:

The restaurants at the Auberge Resort combine fresh ingredients, great recipes, and a dreamlike environment. This month we would like to feature the HaLani and
CanoeHouse restaurants. Ocean breezes and swaying palms are the backdrops with an ocean view that features humpback whales spouting on the horizon. The Hawaii
Team recently enjoyed lunch at Ha Bar and dinner at HaLani Restaurant. We will go back every chance we get. Sunset pupus and cocktails are also an amazing
experience to be shared with family and friends.

Activities:

Anelakai Adventures, Manta Ray Dives:

This month’s Big Island Activity features Anelakai Adventures. This family-owned company which is named after their eldest daughter is a hit in so many ways. Leaving from Keauhou Bay, it is just a short paddle to the location where the giant manta rays come to visit you up close and personal. You can get in the water with supplied snorkel and flotation devices or stay in the canoe and just view the gentle giants from above. Using two double-hull canoes allows for an eco-friendly adventure that doesn’t use noisy motors. Anelakai Adventures also offers kayak, snorkel, or
outrigger canoe tours as well as stargazing and plankton viewing along the coast.

August Sales Statistics for the Big Island Resort Areas

Resort real estate sales were slow in the month of August, perhaps partly a reflection of the flat visitor numbers during what is normally a fairly active month for vacationers. There were just four condo sales and four home sales to end the summer. Home sales were...

I Thought Service in This Country Was Dead, Until…

By Dan Polimino OK, I’m guilty. Maybe I threw in the towel too fast. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve uttered the phrase, “can you get me your supervisor,” because I was getting nowhere with Customer Service. I really thought customer service is completely dead in...
