It’s Time To Sell

By Dan Polimino

As you are reading this we are 30 days away from the start of the selling season. The Spring/Summer selling season is the best time of year to sell your home and it seems each year the season starts earlier and earlier. Remember people are looking to move at the end of the school year and move into a new school district in time. Most peoples homes look better in the spring and summer so inventory goes up bringing out more buyers.

Timing is Everything

This year is going to be different. We are unabashedly telling people your home needs to be on the market by mid-march, we need to be sold and close by June. You may have noticed all the headlines about the slump in the real estate market and most of it’s true. The last 5 months of 2018 the market took a considerable dip. Most professionals believe the seller’s market peaked last summer. While it’s not a buyers market yet we are predicting a very modest gain or at the very least a flat market for home appreciation.

The reason why we are telling people they need to be sold and closed by June is because we are fairly sure we are headed for another dip in the market this fall. All signs point to another very slow August, September, October, November, and December. So if you are thinking about moving you NEED to speak with us now. We don’t have a crystal ball but all economic signs seem to corroborate this prediction.

Professionalism Matters

Selling your home and finding a new home does not have to be like a root canal without novocaine. Trust a professional real estate team like The Hawaii Team that sells 100 homes a year. You may have had a bad experience with a realtor in the past and it’s true not all agents or teams are created equal. Give us just 30 minutes of your time and if we haven’t shown you value then you can throw us out at any time during the presentation.

Most of you are worried about where you are going to go. We can help with that. We have a shadow inventory of homes for sale not on the market. In addition, we can search for homes not on the market in the specific neighborhoods you want to be. Finally, new construction may be an option. We know all the hot new communities and builders.

We look forward to speaking with you about your goals and dreams. Let us know how we can help, we are at your service.

Sincerely

Dan Polimino

“What Am I Paying For?”

These days, with all the discussions about commissions in the news, the new real estate rules, etc. every consumer is asking themselves the same question, which is, “what am I paying for?” I think it’s an excellent question and a question every real estate agent...

September Market Sales Statistics

Real Estate sales in the Resorts continued to be sluggish in September, the one bright spot being six condominium sales at Mauna Lani Resort. Otherwise, there were just two home sales – one each in Kohanaiki and Kūki`o. Other sales - condominiums - were limited to...

August Sales Statistics for the Big Island Resort Areas

Resort real estate sales were slow in the month of August, perhaps partly a reflection of the flat visitor numbers during what is normally a fairly active month for vacationers. There were just four condo sales and four home sales to end the summer. Home sales were...

I Thought Service in This Country Was Dead, Until…

By Dan Polimino OK, I’m guilty. Maybe I threw in the towel too fast. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve uttered the phrase, “can you get me your supervisor,” because I was getting nowhere with Customer Service. I really thought customer service is completely dead in...
