Today I am at the credit union — One of those necessary things that if you’re going to live here part-time or full-time, you gotta know where you’re gonna be banking.

And some people like banks and other people like credit unions. For me, I like credit unions. They seem more friendly, they’ve got great customer service and they’ve got a lot of products that work well for me. So I’m here at Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union. It’s actually right directly across the street from Home Depot. And one of the reasons why I came here was because they had really great, incredible rates on home equity lines of credit. So if you’ve got a house here in Hawaii, you’re thinking about doing some remodeling, and you think you’re gonna do that through a heloc, come to Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union. Ask for my friend Craig Carello who does the HELOCs here. Yes, you’ve got to provide a whole bunch of documentation, but once that’s over, you’re off and running.

Or maybe you’re just looking to take some money out of your home because you want to buy an investment property here. I see people do that all the time — they do a home equity line of credit. They pull out the down payment money, and then they buy an investment property in one of the resorts that they can do a short term vacation rental. There are lots of options here, but when you come here, tell Craig that Dan Polomino sent you.

The other thing I reason why I like this credit union is Hank Whitcomb. Hank does the car loans and it was probably one of the easiest car loans I had ever applied for. I literally sent two documents and an application, and three days later I went and signed all the documents and all the papers, and we were off and running. And the car rates were very good. Go ahead and compare the rates around the island.

So remember Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union, Craig Carello for the home equity lines of credit, and Hank Whitcomb for car loans. Of course if you have questions, please call The Hawaii Team (808) 913-0899.
