Featured Restaurant: Fish Hoppers

Whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or dinner, you’ll be sure to find a warm welcome and a tempting menu at Fish Hoppers Restaurant on Ali`i Drive in Kailua Village. This open-air establishment is just across the street from the sea wall and has incredible views of the ocean and Kailua Pier. The perfect place for sunset cocktails or dinner.

The staff is friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere is perfect for families, larger groups and keiki.
Fish Hoppers is known for its seafood and all the seafood served is either caught in Hawai`i or flown in weekly from California. They have creative tropical drinks and award-winning Bloody Mary’s. House-made desserts, a wide range of appetizers, burgers, pasta, and entrée salads are all part of the menu. In the mornings, there’s a line up at the door to get in and enjoy the eggs benedict, loco moco, pancakes, waffles and omelets.

What better way to spend a Saturday morning than strolling through a farmer’s market and choosing fresh fruits and vegetables, baked goods, and other local products. Supporting island-based businesses and taking home the freshest products is a win-win. Some of West Hawai`i’s favorite markets are:

Kona – Keauhou Farmer’s Market in the Keauhou Shopping Center, Saturday, 8 a.m. to Noon; South Kona Green Market in Captain Cook, Sunday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Waimea – Kamuela Farmer’s Market, Saturday, 7 a.m. to noon, Pukalani Stables; Waimea Town Market, Saturday, 7 a.m. to noon, Parker School.
