Places to Eat on the Big Island – Queens Marketplace Food Court

by | Apr 14, 2023 | Blog | 0 comments

Today I’ve got a food recommendation for you…Occasionally when I’m down in the resort area of town, Chris and I will meet at the Queens Marketplace and we’ll have lunch or we’ll do a working lunch, which was the case today.

There are beautiful tables outside to enjoy the scenery and the terrific weather. We basically worked for about an hour and a half here with our laptops. The food court here at Queens Marketplace has wifi that you can connect to for an hour.

Now, the last time I reported to you from the Queens Marketplace food court was right after the pandemic. At that time, most of the restaurants were closed, but now I’m happy to report that all of the spots are filled with the exception of one. So there are more restaurants there now and more choices.

One of my favorite places is L&L Barbecue. There’s also got a really terrific shrimp place. It’s called The Waikoloa Shrimp Company. And the shrimp are huge. They come out piping hot and it really is a big plate of food.

At the end of the food court is the Waikoloa Pizza Company. Really good pizza. There’s a coffee shop with baked goods, pastries, and coffee and tea.

And then there’s everybody’s favorite, which is Dairy Queen. If you feel like grabbing an ice cream that’s a good option. If you’re on the healthy side, there is Island Greens, and that’s basically a salad buffet. You can make a salad and put all of the toppings that you want on it.

Also there are food places outside of the food court area, like Island Gourmet, which is a fancy ABC store, and in Island Gourmet you can also get pre-prepared foods and lunches. And then across from there is Macaroni Grill, and a really good sushi place called Sensei.

The Queens Marketplace is bustling. There are a lot of shops open. So if you come down to A-Beach area, make sure you stop into the Queens Shops and maybe stop into the food court.

So check it out and let us know what you think!
