AUDIO VERSION | VIDEO

I recently went down to our our church Living Stones Church right here in Kona. It’s this beautiful stone church right here on the ocean. And on Thursday nights is senior youth group night. One of the great things our church does here is they have two nights of youth group. The first night is Tuesday night where the junior high kids come and have fun and. Play games and have a meal and do a bit of a study and some worship. And then Thursday nights here is the seniors night which is for grades 11 and 12. I usually volunteer at with this group of kids -it’s just an amazing thing that this church does for the community.

So if you’re thinking about moving to Hawaii, and you’re thinking, “what are my kids gonna do?” or “what are my kids gonna be involved in?”, this is a great opportunity for kids! If you’re here part-time, or full time, and you’ve got junior high or senior high kids, they can come down here to youth group night at Living Stones Church. I love what we’re doing with the youth and building into them and mentoring and helping them move along and navigate life because things are complicated these days.

Just one of the many great things about living here in Kona Hawaii is being able to get out and enjoy this setting and the dedicated group of volunteers here at Living Stones. So hope you take advantage of it too while you are here.

August Sales Statistics for the Big Island Resort Areas

Resort real estate sales were slow in the month of August, perhaps partly a reflection of the flat visitor numbers during what is normally a fairly active month for vacationers. There were just four condo sales and four home sales to end the summer. Home sales were...

I Thought Service in This Country Was Dead, Until…

By Dan Polimino OK, I’m guilty. Maybe I threw in the towel too fast. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve uttered the phrase, “can you get me your supervisor,” because I was getting nowhere with Customer Service. I really thought customer service is completely dead in...
