New Amazon Alexa Skill Allows You to Talk to the House

The Cutting Edge of Technology

One thing we have done well here over the years at The Hawaii Team is staying on the cutting edge of technology when it comes to helping you sell your home. In the many years I (Dan) have been heading up the THT, we have always thought out of the box and came up with creative ideas to sell homes no matter what the market threw at us. During the crash, we employed our idea of the 53 Hour Open house that was successful in selling some high-end homes. When we had a tough to sell luxury home in the mountains a few years back, we used the concept of the “reverse auction” and brought our seller a successful offer. “Try it before you buy it” was another creative idea from the THT that let people stay in the house before they bought it. We were one of the first real estate teams in the country to use live webcam videos in our homes, 1080p high definition fly-through videos and 3D virtual reality tours.

Talk to the House with Amazon Alexa

Once again, the THT is getting ready to embark on new technology with the help of Amazon Alexa. As of right now, we are using Alexa’s “Talk to The House” feature in a few of our select home listings. If you are thinking about selling your home, you’ll want to talk with us about this amazing new technology.

How Does It Work?

An agent and their buyer come visit your home and while in the kitchen they see Alexa sitting on the counter with a sign that says “Ask me about the house and the neighborhood?” The buyer says to Alexa “tell me about the home?” Alexa then gives the buyer all the details about the house and goes on even further to talk about everything the homeowner loves about living there. It’s like having us (the listing agent) there on every showing. The buyer can ask Alexa other questions like:

  • What are schools?
  • What are the taxes?
  • How far is the grocery store?
  • What are the costs of utilities?

It’s really unlimited on what you can ask and program for Alexa to respond. Since we are early adopters of this technology, we’re ahead of the curve in taking the next and best steps to selling your home. Not every agent or team is created equal. That’s why we are constantly changing, innovating, and coming up with new ways to help you achieve your goals.

There is a lot more to share about this and others technology that we are employing so call us today at 808-913-0899 or team@thehawaiiteam.com. We would love to have a chance to meet you and earn your business.
