Featured Activity: Hawai`i Tropical Botanical Garden
27-717 Old Mamalahoa Hwy
Papaikou, HI 96781
Website

Located on the historic Onomea Bay along the Hamakua Coast, the Hawai`i Tropical Botanical Garden offers garden enthusiasts a chance to discover over 2,500 species of plants from tropical and subtropical regions of the world. The 17-acre garden is situated in a rain forest – the Earth’s oldest living ecosystem – and guests to Hawai`i Tropical Botanical Garden meander along nature trails which include streams, waterfalls, and ocean views. It has taken the owners of the garden more than 40 years to create a living tapestry of plantings, some which were already on the land and others which were brought in from other rainforests from around the world. The garden is open daily, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Due to the steepness of the valley and the natural trails of the Garden, accessibility is limited to those who can navigate trails without the assistance of mobility devices. For ticket information, and more about the garden, visit https://htbg.com/, or call 808.964.5233. The garden is located at 27-717 Old Mamalahoa Hwy, Papaikou, HI 96781
