Maunakea recently wore a mantle of winter snow, a reminder of Poliʻahu, the revered snow goddess who reigns over the mountain. There were no single-family home sales in January 2026. There was one home sale in the month of December 2025. After 71 days on the market, the home closed for $4.075M or 98.10% of the Sale/Current Price. Price per square foot, land and building, was $1,609.

Mauna Lani Resort recorded three condo sales in January with an average price of $2,337,666.67 or 97.91% of the Sale/Current price. Units averaged 86 days on the market and the average price per square foot was $1,324.

Mauna Lani Resort led the way in sales in 2025 with 60 transactions – 55 condos and 5 residential – demonstrating its continued popularity with buyers seeking the best of resort living on the Kohala Coast. Average days on the market were 101 and the average sales price was $6,946,000 for residences and $2,081,691 for condos. This was a Sale to List ratio of 92.45% of original list price. The average price per square foot was $1,126.

The 31st Annual Kona Brewers Festival will be held Saturday, March 14 at the Marriott Courtyard King Kamehameha Kona Beach Hotel in Kailua-Kona. Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Kona Community Foundation, the event includes the early morning Run For Hops and a 1:30 p.m. Blessing by Kumu Keala Ching at the Ahuena Heiau.
