The 1,350-acre master planned Waikoloa Beach Resort is located on the Kohala Coast and features two luxury resort hotels (The Waikoloa Beach Marriott and the Hilton Waikoloa Village) and two 18-hole golf courses to which residential owners are welcome to apply. In addition to the wide range of hotel and resort amenities, Waikoloa features two shopping centers, The Queens’ Marketplace and Kings’ Shops, and over 30 different dining options. In China, the new year is a national holiday. There have been no single-family home sales since May of 2025. One home sale was recorded in the Waikoloa Beach Resort for $8.75M, 88.80% of the Sale/Current price, after 174 days on the market. The price per square foot for land/building was $2,238.

Waikoloa Beach Resort started 2026 by leading the way in condo sales in January with five sales. The units averaged $1,130,800 or 97.44% of the Sale/Current Price. They spent an average of 61 days on the market and the price per square foot averaged $766.

Waikoloa Beach Resort properties remained a solid investment opportunity on the Kohala Coast with 40 sales in 2025 – 37 condominiums and 3 residences. The average sales price for residential was $4,865,000 and for condos, $1,431,026. This represents a Sale to List ratio of 95.93% of original list price; the average days-to-sale was 125 and the average price per square foot was $478.

The 13th Annual Heiva i Hawai`i Tahitian Dance Competition will be held February 21 & 22 at the Old Kona Airport Makaeo Pavilion. Open to the public and free of charge, the audience will be entertained by lively ‘Aparima, melodic ‘Ahuroa, and riveting drum dances, as well as a competition for keiki and adults. There will be food and craft vendors, including Tahitian black pearls, mother-of-pearl jewelry, and colorful pareu. It’s a great way to spend your President’s Day weekend.
