The 1,350 acre master planned Waikoloa Beach Resort is located on the Kohala Coast and features two luxury resort hotels (The Waikole Beach Marriott and the Hilton Waikoloa Village) and two 18-hole golf courses to which residential owners are welcome to apply. In addition to the wide range of hotel and resort amenities, Waikoloa features two shopping centers, The Queens’ Marketplace and Kings’ Shops, and over 30 different dining options. The resort offers a wide range of accommodation options, including the Lava Lava Beach Club Cottages, and multiple condominium developments including Fairway Villas, Hali i Kai, Kolea, Shores at Waikoloa, Vista Waikoloa, Waikoloa Beach Villas, and Colony Villas.

The Bon dance, or Bon Odori, is a Japanese folk dance performed during the Obon Festival. It’s a cultural tradition rooted in Buddhist practices which honors the spirits of ancestors. The dance's origins are believed to stem from a Buddhist legend about a monk's rejoicing after rescuing his mother from the afterlife, with his joyful dance becoming the basis for the Bon dance. It was brought to Hawai`i by the plantation workers from Japan, and now the Bon dance events are held among the five major islands (Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Maui and Hawaii) on weekend evenings from June to August. They are held usually at Buddhist missions, but sometimes at Shintoist missions or at shopping centres.

There were no home sales in June. One home sale was recorded in the Waikoloa Beach Resort for $8.75M, 88.80% of the Sale/Current price, after 174 days on the market. The price per square foot for land/building was $2,238.

There were no condo sales in June. Waikoloa Beach Resort recorded three condominium sales in May with units averaging 97.34% of the Sale/Current price or an average price of $1.335M. On the market an average of 158 days, the units’ price per square foot averaged $1,010.

There were no single-family home sales in Waikoloa Beach Resort in 2023 or 2024.

Condominium sales led the way at Waikoloa Beach Resort with 54 sales closing in 2024. Sales Prices ranged from $700,000 to $3.1M, averaging out at $1,254,527.78, with the Sale/Current Price at 98.31%. The units spent an average of 39 days on the market; cost per square foot averaged out at $954.
