Statehood Day, or Admission Day, is a legal holiday in the state of Hawaii in the United States. It is celebrated annually on the third Friday in August to commemorate the anniversary of the state's 1959 admission to the Union. It was first celebrated in 1969. There were 4 residential sales in 2025 for this North Kona neighborhood, with an average sales price of $2,383,750 – List to Sale ratio of 93%. The homes were on the market for an average of 90 days and the price per square foot was $601.

Hualālai Vistas

There were 2 residential sales in Hualālai Vistas in 2025, with an average sales price of $2,140,000 for this North Kona luxury neighborhood – List to Sale ratio of 92.5%. The homes were on the market for an average of 14 days and the price per square foot was $819.

Hula is for all ages, and on September 9th and 10th, the County Department of Parks and Recreation presents the Kupuna Hula Festival at the Outrigger Kona Resort in Keauhou. More than 250 kupuna (elders) from Hawai`i Island, Molokai, and Japan will perform. A free craft fair will be featured on the festival days from 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. as well, with jewelry, fresh flowers, art, and local crafts. Doors open at 4 p.m.; showtime is 5 p.m.
