Featured Restaurant: Donkey Mill Art Center
More than 30 years ago, the Hōlualoa Foundation for Arts and Culture (HFAC) was formed, creating a center by artists, for artists, to gather, work, and exhibit.
HFAC later purchased an abandoned Kona coffee mill and transformed it into what is now known as the Donkey Mill Art Center. Volunteers thoughtfully adapted the historic space into functional studios, classrooms, and exhibition areas.
Today, it is a beloved gathering place where artisans of all ages can enjoy art classes, top-notch exhibitions, and instruction from world-class artists. It’s an arts center with community at its heart.
Donkey Mill Art Center is located at 78-6670 Mamalahoa Highway, Holualoa, and is open Wednesday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
